WW2 Nazi German Third Reich Propaganda Postcard Judicial Eagle w Swastika

Original 1936 Third Reich German commemorative postcard issued for the groundbreaking of the Haus des Deutschen Rechts (House of German Law) in Munich.

The illustrated card depicts the planned monumental building beneath an emblem combining the German eagle, swastika, sword, scales of justice and laurel wreath.

Printed inscription reads:

“Haus des Deutschen Rechts
Grundsteinlegung am 24.10.36
in der Hauptstadt der Bewegung”

Translation:

“House of German Law – Laying of the foundation stone on October 24, 1936, in the Capital of the Movement.”

A major selling point is the excellent Munich special-event cancellation, dated 24.10.1936, matching the exact date printed on the postcard. The cancel reads in part:

“München – Hauptstadt der Bewegung – Grundsteinlegung des Hauses des Deutschen Rechts – 24.10.36”

The card is franked with a 6 Reichspfennig Hindenburg definitive stamp and was genuinely postally used, addressed to Düsseldorf.
