Offered here is a complete 6-stamp commemorative set issued by Germany on April 20th, 1943, celebrating Adolf Hitler’s 54th birthday.
Each stamp features the same engraved portrait of the Führer in profile surrounded by laurel wreaths, with a torch of victory at left and a sword motif at right. These were produced by the Reichsdruckerei (Berlin) and are among the most recognizable issues of the Third Reich period.
