WW2 Nazi German 1942 Tag der Briefmarke Vienna Stamp Day Third Reich Propaganda Postcard

Original Third Reich-era 1942 “Tag der Briefmarke” (Day of the Postage Stamp) philatelic commemorative card from Vienna (Wien), Austria, dated January 11, 1942.

This is an especially attractive postal-history piece combining an illustrated collector organization cachet, an original 1942 commemorative postage stamp, and a large pictorial Tag der Briefmarke special cancellation.

The blue illustrated cachet at left is headed:

“Einheitsorganisation der Deutschen Sammler”
Translation: “Unified Organization of German Collectors.”

The lower inscription reads:

“Tag der Briefmarke – Wien 11. Januar 1942”
Translation: “Day of the Postage Stamp – Vienna, January 11, 1942.”

The elaborate artwork incorporates postage-stamp imagery and collector symbolism along with a large architectural view.
