RARE SS Czech WWII German 1942 Prague Hospital Card Kurt Daluege Facsimile Signature

Original WWII German hospital remembrance / recovery card dated September 1, 1942, issued in Prague (Prag), Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia.

This is an unusual piece of very thin period paper measuring approximately 4.75″ x 3.25″. The front features an architectural illustration of a prominent Prague tower/gateway above a printed recovery message.

Most notably, the piece bears a printed/facsimile signature of Kurt Daluege, who had become Deputy/Acting Reich Protector of Bohemia and Moravia following the death of Reinhard Heydrich in June 1942. Archival records confirm Daluege was in Prague in September 1942 in this official capacity.

German Inscription:

“Zur Erinnerung an Ihren Lazarettaufenthalt in Prag
mit den besten Wünschen
für baldige Genesung”

English Translation:

“In remembrance of your stay in the military hospital in Prague, with best wishes for a speedy recovery.”

Below the facsimile signature is the printed title:

The German Federal Archives hold photographs specifically documenting Daluege’s official activities in Prague during September 1942, including appearances with Emil Hácha and Karl Hermann Frank.
