Original WWII-era German photograph showing a Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) member standing guard beside a wooden sentry/guard booth at what appears to be an RAD camp or installation.

The RAD man is shown in uniform with his distinctive service cap, long coat, belt, tall boots, and visible swastika armband. Particularly striking is the large swastika emblem mounted above the entrance of the wooden guard booth, making this an unusual and visually impressive period photograph.

RAD personnel lived in organized labor camps and wore a distinctive paramilitary uniform; contemporary Allied references also noted that RAD personnel could be armed and assigned to protective or guard duties.

The photograph retains its original deckle/scalloped edges and shows normal age and handling consistent with an original period photograph. An excellent image for a collection focused on the RAD, German labor organizations, camp life, uniforms, guard duty, or Third Reich photographic history.

Condition: Original period photograph in good overall condition with age-related wear as shown. Please examine the photographs carefully for exact condition.
