Offered here is an exceptionally high-quality museum-grade replica of the WWII German General Assault Badge for 50 Engagements (Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen mit Einsatzzahl 50), complete with the desirable boxed JFS maker mark.

The numbered General Assault Badge grades were introduced on June 22, 1943, with special grades for 25, 50, 75 and 100 engagements. The “50” represented participation in 50 qualifying combat engagements and was one of the considerably scarcer higher grades.

This reproduction is patterned after badges produced by Josef Feix & Söhne (JFS) of Gablonz, a documented wartime manufacturer of the 50-engagement General Assault Badge. Original JFS examples are known with the distinctive boxed “JFS” maker mark, multi-piece construction and riveted center assembly.

The badge features a beautifully finished silver-colored oak-leaf wreath surrounding the contrasting darkened eagle, crossed bayonet and stick grenade. At the bottom is the distinctive “50” engagement plaque, with the numeral highlighted against a dark background.

The reverse displays the impressive multi-piece construction along with the broad vertical pin assembly, riveted construction and clearly defined JFS maker mark. This style closely follows the construction and appearance associated with JFS examples.

The overall quality is outstanding, with crisp feather detail to the eagle, sharply defined oak leaves, detailed weapons and an excellent contrasting finish. This is an ideal display example for the collector who wants the appearance of an extremely scarce original without the substantial cost associated with an authentic 50-engagement badge.

IMPORTANT: This is a modern museum-quality replica/reproduction and is NOT being represented as an original WWII-manufactured award.

An excellent reproduction of a rare and highly desirable numbered German combat badge, particularly impressive with its JFS-marked construction.

Please examine all photographs carefully for exact construction, finish and condition. Sold exactly as shown.
