WWII Nazi German GAB25 General Assault Badge 25 Engagements – JFS

Offered here is an exceptionally high-quality museum-grade replica of the WWII German General Assault Badge for 25 Engagements (Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen mit Einsatzzahl 25), complete with the desirable boxed JFS maker mark.

The special numbered General Assault Badge grades were introduced in June 1943 to recognize personnel who accumulated substantially more qualifying combat actions than required for the standard General Assault Badge. Numbered grades were produced for 25, 50, 75 and 100 engagements.

This reproduction is patterned after examples manufactured by Josef Feix & Söhne (JFS) of Gablonz an der Neiße. Original 25-engagement examples are documented with the distinctive boxed “JFS” maker mark on the reverse.

The badge features an attractive silver-finished oak-leaf wreath surrounding a contrasting darkened eagle, with the traditional crossed bayonet and stick grenade below. At the bottom is the distinctive “25” engagement plaque, with gold-colored numerals set against a dark background.

The reverse shows the impressive multi-piece, riveted construction, broad vertical pin assembly and clearly visible boxed JFS marking. The combination of the contrasting finishes and sharply executed detailing gives this piece an especially convincing museum-display appearance.

Detail throughout is excellent, including the eagle’s feathers, oak leaves, bayonet, grenade and applied engagement-number box. It makes an excellent display piece for a collection where obtaining an extremely scarce original numbered combat badge would be impractical.

IMPORTANT: This is a modern museum-quality replica/reproduction. It is NOT being represented or sold as an original WWII-manufactured award.

An outstanding reproduction of the 25 Engagement General Assault Badge and an excellent companion to the 50 and 100 engagement versions.

Please examine all photographs carefully for exact construction, finish and condition. Sold exactly as shown.
