WWII Nazi German DRK Red Cross Deutsches Rotes Kreuz Helferin Badge – Hermann Aurich HA

Offered here is a very high-quality reproduction of a WWII German Deutsches Rotes Kreuz (DRK) Helferin service badge, patterned after examples manufactured by Hermann Aurich of Dresden.

The attractive circular badge features a large red enamel-style cross on a white field, surrounded by a black outer band bearing the Gothic inscription:

DEUTSCHES ROTES KREUZ HELFERIN

The design is accented by gold-colored lettering and borders, with two swastikas incorporated into the lower portion of the outer ring. Original Helferin badges of this general pattern are documented as service brooches for female German Red Cross personnel.

The reverse has a horizontal pin and catch assembly and is marked at the top:

GES. GESCH.

This abbreviation stands for Gesetzlich Geschützt, essentially indicating a legally protected/registered design.

At the bottom is the HA maker logo, representing Hermann Aurich of Dresden. Authentic period Hermann Aurich examples are documented with the HA manufacturer’s mark together with the GES. GESCH. marking, making this reproduction a convincing representation of the original type.

The badge has excellent visual appeal, with crisp Gothic lettering, sharply defined borders and strong contrasting red, white, black and gold-colored finishes. The smooth reverse and period-style pin construction further enhance its museum-display appearance.

IMPORTANT: This is a modern high-quality reproduction and is NOT being represented or sold as an original pre-1945 manufactured badge.

An excellent piece for a WWII German medical collection, DRK display, reenactment, historical exhibit, uniform display or collector looking for an attractive Hermann Aurich-style reproduction.

Please examine all photographs carefully for exact construction, markings, finish and condition. Sold exactly as shown.
