Original 1942 WW2 Nazi German RAD Reichsarbeitsdienst Soldiers Family Support ID Document Celle

Original WWII-era German Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) document dated September 25, 1942, issued at Celle, Germany.

The document is titled “Ausweis zur Erlangung von Familienunterhalt,” translating to “Identification/Certificate for Obtaining Family Support.” It was issued to an individual called up for compulsory service with the Reich Labor Service and served as proof that his eligible family members could apply for financial support during his period of service.

An especially attractive example due to the large, sharply struck blue Reichsarbeitsdienst Meldeamt 254 Celle official stamp. The center of the seal features the period RAD eagle and swastika insignia. It is accompanied by the signature of the registration-office official.

The document records the man’s RAD call-up for October 7, 1942 and appears to assign him to Reichsarbeitsdienstabteilung K 7/188, with the handwritten location appearing to read Feldlager. It also contains his personal information, address, parents’ information, birthplace, and other handwritten administrative entries.

The printed text along the bottom explains that, provided the legal requirements were met, the serviceman’s relatives could receive family support for the duration of his service and directs them to the appropriate municipal authority to apply.

A very nice original piece of RAD personnel and home-front administrative history, particularly desirable with the large Celle RAD seal and clearly dated wartime entries.

Condition: Original used condition with period handwriting, stamps, signatures, toning, fold lines and normal age/storage wear. Please examine all photographs carefully for exact condition.
