Nazi German Third Reich NSDAP NS-Frauenschaft Frauen Womens Org Document Lot

Original Third Reich-era German two-document grouping connected with the NS-Frauenschaft (National Socialist Women’s League) and its activities involving women and children. Both pieces are original period paperwork and make an interesting matched lot illustrating the organizational and social structure surrounding the NS-Frauenschaft.

The larger document is headed “Deutsche Kinderschar – Gau Köln-Aachen” and identifies itself as belonging to the “Kindergruppen der NS-Frauenschaft” — the children’s groups of the NS-Frauenschaft — for boys and girls approximately 6–10 years old. The district appears handwritten as Ortsberg.

The printed declaration translates in part:

“I hereby register with the children’s group of the NS-Frauenschaft. My parents or their representatives have given me permission. I am a German child and promise always to be comradely, obedient and sincere and to participate regularly in the events.”

The form is partially completed for a child whose name appears to read Edith Steinbach. It includes spaces for address, birthday, school, father’s occupation and employment, health information, membership contribution, signatures and the particularly notable printed field “Arischer Abstammung” — “Aryan ancestry.” The membership contribution is marked RM 0.20. Printed organizational abbreviations also reference Pg., SA, SS and NSKK in connection with the father’s possible offices/affiliations.

The second document is a Bestellschein (order/subscription form) for the “N.S. Frauen-Warte,” described directly on the form as:

“Die einzige parteiamtliche Frauenzeitschrift Deutschlands” — “The only official Party women’s magazine in Germany.”

It orders a 12-month subscription consisting of 26 issues, priced at 30 Pfennig per issue, through Zeitschriften-Vertrieb Johannes Pfau, Düsseldorf, Schadowstraße 64. The form contains extensive subscription conditions and handwritten information. An interesting printed warning specifically states that subscribing to the N.S. Frauen-Warte did not make the subscriber a member of the NS-Frauenschaft.

The reverse sides show additional period handwriting on the Kinderschar document, apparently including calculations/notes, while the Frauen-Warte form is largely blank on the reverse. The ruler shown in the photographs provides a useful size reference.
