WWII Nazi German Soldiers Sweetheart Song Train Card Postcard Brave Little Soldiers Wife

Original period German military song card titled “Tapfere kleine Soldatenfrau” (“Brave Little Soldier’s Wife”), identified as a song by Carl Sträßer.

The photograph shows German soldiers leaning from the windows of a railway carriage while women stand alongside the train, creating a classic wartime departure scene. The printed lyrics describe a soldier leaving his wife and child, remembering their farewell, thinking of his family while away, and anticipating his eventual leave and return home.

The bottom notation “(wenden!)” indicates that the printed material continues on the reverse/other side as originally produced.

A strong wartime social-history piece dealing with soldiers, families, separation and railway departures.

Back is otherwise unused with no handwritten messages, postage stamps, or postal cancellations.
