WWII Nazi German Army Steel Helmet Soldiers Military Song Card Postcard Lili Marleen

Original period German military song card featuring the famous wartime song “Lili Marleen,” headed:

“Vor der Kaserne, vor dem großen Tor…”

The card credits words to Hans Leip and music to Norbert Schultze. Alongside the printed lyrics is a nighttime photograph/illustration of a helmeted soldier standing near the entrance to a barracks beneath a street lamp — imagery closely associated with the song itself.

“Lili Marleen” became one of the most internationally recognized soldiers’ songs of the Second World War and was heard by troops on multiple sides of the conflict.

An excellent period military-music collectible.

Back is completely unused with no writing, stamps, or postal markings. Shows age toning and normal handling wear as pictured.
