Lot of 7 Third Reich German Postcards Dietz Family 1930s Hitler Stamps Olympic Cancel

Excellent group of 7 original Third Reich-era German postcards, all forming part of the same Dietz family correspondence. The cards were mailed to members of the Dietz family, mostly during the Third Reich Era.

The cards feature German travel and scenic views including Garmisch, Freudenstadt, Swinemünde, Bad Elster, Fichtelgebirge/Bischofsgrün and Warnemünde. Subjects include mountain villages, winter scenery, hotels, seaside architecture, gardens and the Baltic coast.

Several retain their original Third Reich postage stamps, including Adolf Hitler and Hindenburg definitives, together with period town cancellations and postal slogan cancels.

Of particular interest is the postcard bearing a purple 6 Pfennig Adolf Hitler stamp and Garmisch-Partenkirchen Olympic promotional cancellation, referencing the area as an “Olympiaort” and leading German winter-sports destination.

Another card carries a period Kraft durch Freude (KdF) postal slogan. The group therefore contains an interesting assortment of stamps, cancellations, postal advertising and German social/travel history.

Most importantly, these cards have remained together as correspondence addressed to the Dietz family, with several addressed directly to Irmgard Dietz. The handwritten messages, original postage and recurring family name provide a nice opportunity for further genealogical and postal-history research.

Condition: Original period-used condition with age toning, postal ink, handwriting, corner/edge wear, occasional staining and other normal handling wear. Everything is exactly as shown in the photographs.
