WOW! LUFTWAFFE SOLDIER PAINTS KILLS ON FLAK CANON WW2 WWII German Military photo

Outstanding original WWII German Luftwaffe photograph showing a young Luftwaffe serviceman painting victory / kill markings onto the barrel of a German Flak anti-aircraft cannon.

The soldier is photographed in a camouflaged field emplacement beneath overhead camouflage netting. He is carefully applying another marking to an impressive row of approximately 11 existing victory symbols painted around the gun barrel.

These types of markings were used by German anti-aircraft crews to record aircraft claimed destroyed by the gun or its crew, making this a particularly interesting combat-related photograph. The image provides a close-up period view of the tradition actually being carried out rather than simply showing a gun with previously applied markings.

The soldier’s Luftwaffe uniform and collar tabs are clearly visible, while the Flak cannon, painted victory markings, camouflage netting and field emplacement provide excellent detail.

An especially strong photograph for collectors of Luftwaffe Flak, German anti-aircraft artillery, victory markings, combat photography and WWII German military equipment.

Condition: Original period photograph with normal age and handling wear as shown. Image remains sharp with excellent contrast and considerable equipment detail. Please examine the photographs carefully for exact condition.
