Rare Original WWII German Kriegsmarine Funeral Photo Set Third Reich Hearse Honor Guard

Rare matching set of two original WWII German military funeral photographs, documenting different stages of the same Kriegsmarine funeral or burial ceremony.

The first photograph shows a funeral vehicle almost completely covered with enormous floral wreaths and arrangements. A large wreath bearing a prominent swastika is displayed along the side as the procession moves through a European town.

The second photograph shows the graveside ceremony with a uniformed officer conducting the service. German soldiers wearing steel helmets stand at attention around the grave as an honor guard. A flag-draped coffin or grave covering can be seen near the center of the scene.

The photographs are marked “5” and “6” on the fronts and carry consecutive archive numbers “377C” and “378C” on the backs, confirming that they belong together as part of the same funeral sequence. Both photographs also have period Velox photographic-paper markings on the reverse.

An exceptionally powerful and historically significant matched set offering a rare visual record of a formal German military funeral during WWII. Excellent material for an advanced Kriegsmarine, Wehrmacht, military funeral or Third Reich photography collection.

Both photographs are in original vintage condition with expected age-related edge wear, minor marks and handling wear. One photograph has deckled edges. See ruler for size comparison. The two photographs shown are the exact items you will receive.
