WWI German Feldpost Postcard Brussels Belgium Feldartillerie 1914 Military Mail

Original WWI-era German military Feldpost postcard from Brussels, Belgium, showing the famous Mont des Arts gardens, monumental stairways and fountains.

The reverse is especially interesting. The postcard was written during the German occupation of Belgium and bears a clear BRUSSEL circular postal cancellation dated 10 November 1914. It also has a large violet German military unit stamp reading “Feldartillerie…”, with “General-Gouvernement” visible around the lower portion of the stamp.

Addressed to Hans Körner in Varel, Oldenburg, Germany. The handwritten correspondence appears to be in German and is dated Brüssel, den 10/11/14.

The combination of an early November 1914 Brussels date, military unit marking, German occupation postal history and classic Brussels street scene makes this a particularly interesting WWI Feldpost card.

Condition shows normal age, edge/corner wear, toning and handling consistent with an original mailed postcard more than 100 years old. Writing and postal markings remain quite legible. Please see photos for exact condition.
