4 WWII German Army Wehrmacht Soldier Military Song Sweethearts Postcard lot

Lot of 4 original WWII-era German illustrated song postcards featuring colorful military and regional scenes with printed German song lyrics.

Included are:

• 2 different “Westerwald” postcards – showing a German soldier dancing with a woman while musicians play. Both feature printed lyrics from the well-known Westerwald marching song, but are different printings/designs.
• “Es ist so schön Soldat zu sein” – illustrated with a woman waving farewell to a departing soldier beneath a town gate. The printed song lyrics repeatedly reference Rosemarie.
• “Märkische Heide” – attractive woodland scene showing a uniformed soldier walking arm-in-arm with a woman, with printed lyrics celebrating the Brandenburg region.

The backs show period publisher information including Verlag Grieshaber & Säuberlich (Propaganda Stuttgart) in Stuttgart. Some are marked G+S 23 and state that the material was taken from “Das neue Soldatenliederbuch,” Verlag B. Schott’s Söhne, Mainz.

All four appear unused/unmailed.

Nice matched group of period German military song cards with excellent artwork depicting soldiers, women, dancing, musicians and regional scenery.

Original period postcards. Condition varies with age-related toning, corner/edge wear, minor staining and handling marks as pictured.

See photos for condition and ruler for size comparison. Items are sold as shown/as is. We combine shipping and ship every day, including Saturdays.
