55pc Original WWII German Photo Postcard Lot Military Soldiers Civilians 1940s

Nice 55-piece original WWII German photograph and postcard collection featuring a wide variety of military, civilian, family and everyday-life subjects from the 1930s–1940s era.

This is a great mixed lot with plenty to look through. The military photographs are particularly interesting and include uniformed German soldiers, group portraits, soldiers wearing steel helmets, rifles and field equipment, Luftwaffe personnel, winter scenes, military formations and other wartime views.

The lot also contains numerous civilian photographs including men, women, children, families, formal portraits, outdoor scenes, buildings, landscapes, automobiles and everyday life.

Also included are several period postcards. One postally used card is dated 13 April 1944 from Hemer and retains its original 6-pfennig German postage stamp. Another unused postal card features the Schlossmuseum in Berlin with an imprinted 6+4 postage stamp.

An especially nice assortment because it is not simply military photographs—the civilian and family material gives the collection a broader picture of German life during the WWII period.
