2 German Historical Postcards Lenin Spartacus Russian Revolution 1917 WWI

Interesting lot of 2 vintage German historical postcards relating to Vladimir Lenin, the Spartacus League, and the Russian Revolution / revolutionary movement during the WWI era.

The first card is titled “Ein Brief Lenins an die Oktoberkonferenz des Spartakus-Bundes” and reproduces a handwritten letter by Lenin to the October Conference of the Spartacus League. The reverse identifies it as “Brief W. I. Lenins vom 18. Oktober 1918 an die Mitglieder der Spartakusgruppe.”

The second card reproduces German newspaper and political material concerning the Russian Revolution of 1917, including the Leipziger Volkszeitung dated November 9, 1917, with the prominent headline “Proletarische Diktatur in Rußland. Präsident Kerenski gefangen.” Additional reproduced material references workers’ politics and peace demonstrations of November 1917.

Both cards are marked “Echt Foto” on the reverse and were issued by VEB Bild und Heimat, Reichenbach i.V. They are unused.

An unusual pair of German historical postcards covering Lenin, the Spartacus movement, the Russian Revolution and important political events surrounding WWI.

Condition is very good overall with light age/storage wear. Please see photos for exact condition.
