Old vintage copy of a German printed portrait depicting Knight’s Cross recipient Oberfeldwebel Peter Veeser of the Heer (German Army). The image shows Veeser wearing the prestigious Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross suspended at the neck. Printed on thin paper stock and measuring approximately 7 x 5 inches (see ruler for size comparison).
Peter Veeser served as a Stoßtruppführer (shock troop leader) with 7./Infanterie-Regiment 125 of the 125th Infantry Division. He was awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross on 14 May 1941 for exceptional bravery during the Balkan campaign. Contemporary accounts state that he led an assault into a heavily defended village and captured a commanding hill position overlooking the Struma Valley, contributing significantly to the German advance.
