This original printed form is dated 1941 (printer code “541.41”) and includes period handwritten entries with reporting times such as 12:35, 12:36, and 12:38. The form references a Flugwache and Flugwachkommando (Air Watch Command) and contains the printed categories used by Luftwaffe observers to classify aircraft altitude, direction, and whether the aircraft were German (“deutsch”) or enemy (“feindlich”). This one reports seeing enemy aircraft.
These reporting sheets were an important part of Germany’s wartime aircraft warning system, allowing observers to rapidly transmit sightings of friendly and hostile aircraft to command centers.
