1930 German Soldiers Wehrstammbuch Registration Document Lunen Military Service

Excellent original pre-WWII German military registration document, officially titled “Anmeldebescheinigung,” issued in Lünen, Germany, on 21 September 1930. This is an early and highly interesting piece of German military administrative history documenting the registration of a man liable for military service for the creation of his Wehrstammblatt, or permanent military service record.

The document is issued to Paul Boenig, making it especially desirable if paired with the other surviving wartime documents belonging to the same soldier we have for sale. The form records his personal information, including a birth date appearing to read 27 December 1911, residence information, and his formal registration with the authorities.

The key printed statement reads:

“hat sich heute zur Anlegung des Wehrstammblatts angemeldet.”

Translation:

“Has registered today for the establishment of his military service record.”

A major feature is the impressive official Lünen municipal/police authority Dienststempel, displaying the city coat of arms, together with the large official marking:

“Der Ober-Bürgermeister als Ortspolizeibehörde”

The document also retains an original official signature.
