154 Imperial German & Third Reich Nazi WWI WWII Era Stamp Collection 8 Album Pages Air Mail Official

Large 154-stamp German collection mounted on 8 vintage album pages, spanning material from the WWI / Imperial German period through the Weimar era, inflation period, and into the WWII era.

This is a particularly varied old-time collection with regular postage, commemoratives, Deutsche Flugpost / airmail, Dienstmarken / official stamps, inflation and hyperinflation issues, overprints, semi-postals and postwar AM POST material.

Highlights visible throughout the pages include 1922–23 Deutsche Flugpost “Wood Pigeon” issues, including several denominations from this attractive airmail series. The 1923 Wood Pigeon issues include Michel 235–237 and related values, while the earlier 1922 series begins with Michel 210.

There is also an especially nice representation of the 1923 German hyperinflation period, with denominations progressing from thousands of Marks into millions and billions of Marks. This was the extraordinary period when rapidly increasing postal rates required denominations reaching into the billions.

Also included are numerous Dienstmarke official-government issues, including inflation overprints and later values. Several of the worker-design Dienstmarken correspond to the Michel 75–88 series, while the denomination-overprinted official stamps fall within Michel 89–98.

Other material visible includes:

• Imperial / early German Reich issues
• Germania and numeral types
• Weimar-era definitives
• Worker and agricultural designs
• Inflation and hyperinflation surcharges
• Deutsche Flugpost airmail stamps
• Dienstmarke government official stamps
• Hindenburg portrait issues
• German commemorative and semi-postal issues
• Third Reich-era stamps
• Feldpost-related material
• Luftfeldpost stamp
• Allied occupation AM POST Deutschland issues
• Both mint and used examples with a variety of period cancellations

The stamps remain mounted on the 8 original album pages exactly as shown. This is a good instant collection for the German specialist, inflation collector, postal-history collector, or someone looking for a broad assortment covering several important periods of German philately.
