1912 Niederfüllbach Coburg German Rittergut History Book Large Foldout Map

Original 1912 German local-history book:

“Niederfüllbach – Aus der Geschichte eines coburgisch-fränkischen Rittersitzes”
by Ludwig Ungelenk and Rudolf Waldvogel, published in Coburg by H. Bonsack.

This is a particularly interesting early regional history devoted to Niederfüllbach, Coburg and the historic Franconian knightly estate (Rittergut).

The large original foldout map is still present in this copy. The map is titled “Geometrischer Grundriß aller Grundstücke des Reichs-Frey Hoch-Adeligen Ritterguths Niederfüllbach” and reproduces a detailed estate plan dated July 15, 1774. The municipality’s own historical material specifically references this map as appearing in the 1912 Ungelenk/Waldvogel book.

The book covers the history of the area from its earliest period through 1912, including the feudal lords and landowners, Niederfüllbach Castle and Rittergut, church and school, disputes over territorial rights and later local history.

Illustrations include a photograph of Schloss Niederfüllbach, a reproduction of a 1317 document, attractive color coats of arms for von Schaumberg and von Reitzenstein, the old Niederfüllbach municipal seal, historical maps and other plates.

There is also an old handwritten inscription on the front endpaper dated 1912, adding some period provenance.

Condition: Original antique condition with age-related wear, rubbing, toning and handling to the covers and pages. Some writing/marks are present as photographed. The important large folding color estate map is present and shows expected fold lines and some wear/damage, particularly near the attachment/left portion. Please study all photos carefully for exact condition.

A scarce and very specialized piece of Coburg/Niederfüllbach regional history, especially desirable for its surviving large foldout estate map.
