Excellent grouping of 5 original 1936 German tobacco/cigarette photographic collector cards from Sammelwerk Nr. 15 “Adolf Hitler,” issued for the well-known red-cover ZBA Adolf Hitler cigarette-picture album.

These are genuine period album cards rather than modern reproductions. Each has a black-and-white photographic image on the front and the original printed Sammelwerk Nr. 15 caption and publication information on the reverse. The lot contains several particularly strong subjects, including the 1935 Reichsparteitag, Zeppelinwiese, preparations for the Nürnberg rally, SS personnel, Sepp Dietrich, the Münchener Künstlerhaus, Professor Wackerle, and Frau Professor Troost.

Detailed Breakdown of Each Card

1. Bild Nr. 187 – Gruppe 67 – Preparations for the 1935 Reich Party Rally

Reverse title:

“Vorbereitungen zum Reichsparteitag 1935. Der Führer bespricht den Aufmarschplan.”

English translation:
“Preparations for the 1935 Reich Party Rally. The Führer discusses the deployment/marching plan.”

The photograph shows Adolf Hitler studying a large plan or diagram laid out on a table while surrounded by uniformed officials. Several SS men are visible immediately around him.

This is a particularly interesting behind-the-scenes image connected with the enormous organizational preparations for the 1935 Nürnberg Reichsparteitag, rather than simply showing the finished parade or ceremony.

2. Bild Nr. 98 – Gruppe 67 – Visit to the Munich Artists’ House

Reverse title:

“Besuch im Münchener Künstlerhaus. Bei Prof. Wackerle. In der Mitte Frau Prof. Troost.”

English translation:
“Visit to the Munich Artists’ House. With Professor Wackerle. In the center Frau Professor Troost.”

The photograph depicts a presentation involving architectural or sculptural models, with a large animal sculpture visible behind the group.

The caption specifically identifies Professor Wackerle and Frau Professor Troost, making this a useful card for collectors interested in the art, architecture and cultural projects associated with the Third Reich period.

There is a visible crease/crack through the upper portion of the image; please examine the photographs for condition.

3. Bild Nr. 179 – Gruppe 64 – 1935 Reichsparteitag / Zeppelinwiese

Reverse title:

“Reichsparteitag 1935: Beim Arbeitsdienst auf der Zeppelinwiese.”

English translation:
“1935 Reich Party Rally: With the Labor Service on the Zeppelin Field.”

The front shows Adolf Hitler descending a large flight of steps while surrounded by a substantial formation of uniformed officials and military personnel.

This is one of the strongest cards in the grouping due to its direct association with the 1935 Nürnberg Reichsparteitag and the Zeppelinwiese, one of the principal ceremonial locations of the rally grounds.

Hitler is prominently positioned in the foreground holding his cap and raising his hand, with numerous decorated uniformed men following behind.

4. Bild Nr. 188 – Gruppe 64 – Hitler with Sepp Dietrich / Leibstandarte

The reverse identifies the scene as Hitler visiting his Leibstandarte, and specifically identifies SS-Obergruppenführer Sepp Dietrich alongside him.

The photograph is an indoor scene showing Hitler, wearing a long dark coat, examining quarters or accommodations while surrounded by uniformed personnel.

Sepp Dietrich is an especially collectible named personality in WWII-era photographic material due to his senior position within the SS and his association with the Leibstandarte.

This card is a particularly strong addition to the lot for collectors of SS, Leibstandarte and Sepp Dietrich photographic material.

5. Bild Nr. 23 – Gruppe 64 – “Everyone Wants to Shake the Führer’s Hand”

Reverse title:

“Jeder möchte einmal die Hand des Führers ergreifen.”

English translation:
“Everyone would like to shake the Führer’s hand once.”

The photograph is an excellent close-up crowd scene showing numerous people reaching toward Hitler as he moves through the gathering.

An SS man with clearly visible SS collar insignia stands prominently in the center of the photograph among the crowd and security personnel.

Unlike the formal rally photographs, this image was intended to portray direct interaction between Hitler and members of the public, making it an interesting example of the photographic imagery selected for the original album.
