1936 Nazi German Third Reich Berlin Olympics German Propaganda Poster Card Olympic Games Original

Original 1936 Berlin Olympic Games collector card featuring the famous German promotional poster for the XI Olympic Games, held in Berlin from August 1–16, 1936.

The striking color artwork combines several iconic Berlin Olympic images, including the Olympic rings, a monumental athlete wearing a victory wreath, and the Brandenburg Gate quadriga in silhouette.

The reverse also explains that Olympia 1936 was issued in two volumes. Volume I contained 175 pictures, divided among picture groups 53–56, covering the Olympic competitions, the history of the Games since 1896, and a preview of the nations competing in Berlin. Volume II contained another 200 images documenting the Berlin Olympic experience.
