1938 Nazi German Third reich Photo Postcard Breslau Turnfest Stamp & Cancel

Original pre-WWII German real photo postcard showing a dramatic view of Schloss Neuburg am Inn overlooking the Marian Column (Mariensäule) at Wernstein, on the German-Austrian border region.

The printed caption reads:

“Schloß Neuburg a. Inn mit Mariensäule in Wernstein”
Translation: “Neuburg am Inn Castle with the Marian Column in Wernstein.”

The reverse is particularly collectible. The card was period mailed in 1938 and bears an attractive green 6 Pfennig Deutsches Reich commemorative stamp inscribed:

“Breslau – Deutsches Turn- und Sportfest”

The stamp depicts the monumental festival/stadium architecture and incorporates a swastika emblem in the lower portion. It is tied to the card by a clear 1938 German postal cancellation.

The reverse also contains a substantial period handwritten message, making this a genuine postal-history piece rather than an unused souvenir card.
