Original pre-WWII German postcard showing the monumental Luitpold Arena (Luitpoldhain) in Nuremberg, one of the principal ceremonial locations used during the Nazi Party’s Nuremberg rallies.

The printed caption reads:

“Stadt der Reichsparteitage Nürnberg, Blick vom Mahnmal zur Ehrentribüne in der Luitpold-Arena”

Translation:

“City of the Reich Party Rallies, Nuremberg – View from the Memorial toward the Honor Tribune in the Luitpold Arena.”

The photograph provides an impressive period view across the arena toward the Ehrentribüne (Honor Tribune), decorated with three enormous swastika banners and monumental German eagle sculptures.

Historical Significance

The Luitpold Arena was one of the major rally grounds in Nuremberg and was used for enormous staged ceremonies involving SA and SS formations.
