1939 WW2 Nazi German Third reich Philatelic Day Munich Reichsbund Philatelisten Hindenburg Postcard

Original 1939 German philatelic commemorative postcard issued for the 4th Reichsbundstag and 45th Deutscher Philatelistentag, held in Munich on June 3–4, 1939.

This attractive multicolor collector card was produced for the Reichsbund der Philatelisten e.V. and features an oversized reproduction of the classic Bavarian 18 Kreuzer “Bayern” stamp design, together with the organization’s emblem and a Munich coat-of-arms design.

The card is franked with an attached 3 Pfennig Hindenburg definitive stamp and bears an especially desirable large pictorial event cancellation:

The center of the special cancel incorporates another depiction of the historic Bavarian 18 Kreuzer stamp.

The printed inscription translates approximately as:

“Reich Federation of Philatelists, Registered Association – 4th Reich Federation Convention – 45th German Philatelists’ Day – Munich, June 3–4, 1939.”

A very attractive prewar Third Reich postal-history and philatelic exhibition collectible, combining an event postcard, Hindenburg franking, special Munich pictorial cancellation, and classic Bavarian stamp imagery.
