1940 German Sweethearts Feldpost Song Postcard “Ruck Zuck!” Alpine Soldier Breslau Cancel

Original WWII-era German Feldpost song postcard, mailed in 1940, featuring the German song “Ruck Zuck!”

The front has an illustrated Alpine scene showing a uniformed German soldier with a young woman on an Alm, surrounded by mountains and a chalet. Beneath the illustration are the complete printed lyrics to Ruck Zuck!, a romantic soldier/mountain song concerning love, separation, and remembering a sweetheart while away.

The reverse is especially interesting for postal-history collectors. It is clearly marked “Feldpost” and was mailed with no postage stamp required, receiving a strong Breslau 2 – 13.9.40 circular cancellation. The card is addressed to Fräulein Schrögemayer in Eggenburg, at Burggasse 16.

The printed publisher information identifies Martin Groot, Hamburg 36, with the song-card printing credited to Wille & Co., Berlin-Wilmersdorf.

Handwritten Message – Approximate Translation

The handwriting appears to read approximately:

“Sending you the very best greetings from Breslau.
I am now at this location.
Best greetings to everyone.
Your acquaintance, Toni.”

There are also handwritten “Feldpost” markings on the reverse.

A very attractive piece combining WWII German Feldpost, 1940 postal history, soldier correspondence, Alpine imagery, military song-card collecting, and a clearly dated Breslau cancellation. Unlike an unused song card, this example saw genuine wartime postal use.

Condition: Original used condition with expected age toning, light edge/corner wear and handling marks. Writing and cancellation remain clearly visible. Please examine all photographs for exact condition.
