This is the 12 + 38 Reichspfennig single-value issue, Michel #772, officially released on April 17, 1941, three days before Hitler’s 52nd birthday. The issue was designed by Ernst Rudolf Vogenauer and printed by photogravure.

The stamp features a left-facing portrait of Hitler wearing a peaked cap and uniform. It was printed in a dark brownish-red shade and has a swastika watermark, with perforation approximately 14¼ x 13½.

The 12pf postal denomination includes an additional 38pf semi-postal surcharge, giving the issue its distinctive 12+38 value.
