1 in stock

Pair of 2 original WWII German postcards, both featuring the same view of the Johanneskirche with Feuersee in Stuttgart, Germany.
What makes this pair especially interesting is that both postcards were mailed to the same man, Hauer Güler, at Rickenbach bei Lindau, only five days apart in September 1941.
The cards are dated September 16, 1941 and September 21, 1941. Both retain their original 6 Pfennig Deutsches Reich Hindenburg postage stamps with clear Lindau (Bodensee) cancellations.
The handwritten messages appear to concern personal arrangements and plans, including references to meeting during the week. They provide a nice piece of everyday German wartime correspondence from 1941.
The fronts show an attractive period view of Stuttgart’s Johanneskirche and Feuersee, with the printed caption:
“Stuttgart – Johanneskirche mit Feuersee”
An excellent matched pair for collectors of WWII German postal history, Stuttgart postcards, Hindenburg stamps, or wartime correspondence.
Both are original period postcards and show age-related toning, staining, handling wear, corner/edge wear, and other signs of use as pictured.
See photos for condition and ruler for size comparison. Items are sold as shown/as is. We combine shipping and ship every day, including Saturdays.
