400+ Imperial German & Third Reich Nazi WWI WWII Stamp Collection 10 Album Pages Inflation Bavaria

Large old-time German stamp collection of approximately 400+ stamps arranged on 10 vintage Peerless album pages, with material spanning the Imperial German, WWI, Weimar/inflation and WWII periods.

I count roughly 400 stamps total from the photographs. There are many duplicates and useful groups, making this a particularly interesting collection for someone who collects varieties, cancellations, shades, inflation issues, or wants a substantial German study lot.

The collection begins with Bavaria issues and early German Empire material, followed by a substantial group of Reichspost and Deutsches Reich Germania stamps. There are numerous different denominations and a very large assortment of readable period town and date cancellations.

A major portion of the collection covers the German inflation and hyperinflation period, including large groups of the numeral definitives and surcharged issues. Denominations progress through hundreds and thousands of Marks into hundreds of thousands and millions of Marks, including 100 Thousand, 125 Thousand, 250 Thousand, 400 Thousand, 800 Thousand, 1 Million, 2 Million, 4 Million, 5 Million, 10 Million, 20 Million, 50 Million, 100 Million and 220 Million Mark values.

Also represented are attractive Deutsche Flugpost airmail stamps, worker/agricultural designs, Hindenburg portrait issues and later WWII-era German stamps.

Some of the particularly noticeable areas include:

• Bavaria stamps
• Early German Empire / Reichspost issues
• Germania definitives
• WWI-era German stamps
• Numerous early German cancellations
• Weimar Republic issues
• Large inflation and hyperinflation groups
• High-denomination Million-Mark issues
• Overprinted and surcharged inflation stamps
• Deutsche Flugpost airmail stamps
• Worker and agricultural designs
• Hindenburg portrait stamps
• WWII-era German issues
• Both mint and used material
• Numerous duplicates suitable for shade, cancellation and variety study

The 10 original vintage Peerless Series album pages are included and the collection will remain together as shown.

This is an appealing older accumulation with approximately 400+ stamps, rather than a small starter lot. There is plenty here to sort and research further. I have not attempted to identify every watermark, perforation, printing variety or cancellation.

Condition varies throughout as expected with an old collection. Stamps may be mint, hinged, used or otherwise mounted to the pages. Some stamps show age, heavy cancellations, short perforations or other faults. Please examine all photographs carefully—the exact stamps and album pages shown are what you will receive.
