Original WW2 Nazi German 1939 Adolf Hitler BDM Hitler Youth HJ Girls Vienna Birthday Postcard

Original 1939 Third Reich German photographic postcard showing Adolf Hitler greeting a group of BDM (Bund Deutscher Mädel) girls, with one uniformed girl shaking his hand and presenting flowers. Several additional BDM girls stand alongside her, making this an especially attractive period Jugend-related image.

The reverse carries an original 6+19 Reichspfennig Adolf Hitler 50th Birthday commemorative stamp, issued for Hitler’s 50th birthday on April 20, 1939.

Of particular interest is the large Vienna (Wien) commemorative cancellation, dated:

20.4.1939 – 50. Geburtstag des Führers – Wien

Translation: “April 20, 1939 – 50th Birthday of the Führer – Vienna.”

The cancel also incorporates an architectural view and the slogan “Deutsch die Ostmark”, giving the card additional Austrian / Anschluss-era postal-history interest.

The postcard itself is unused for correspondence—the message and address areas remain blank—while the commemorative stamp was specially cancelled for philatelic/souvenir purposes.

The front photograph provides an excellent period view of BDM uniforms and insignia, including the prominent BDM triangular district sleeve patch and swastika diamond insignia visible on the girl at right.
