Original WWII US USN Navy Divers Helmet w no class Military Patch Insignia

Scarce original WWII-era U.S. Navy Diver embroidered insignia patch, featuring the distinctive early diving apparatus design embroidered in black on an off-white cotton twill background.

This example is particularly interesting because it is a Diver patch with no class designation. The central design depicts the traditional diving equipment associated with U.S. Navy diving personnel and represents an interesting piece of specialized naval service insignia.

The patch has excellent period character, with strong black embroidery and an aged cream/off-white cloth backing. It shows expected age and service wear, including some discoloration, edge fraying and loose threads.

An excellent and unusual piece for a collection of WWII U.S. Navy diving equipment, Navy Diver insignia, USN specialty patches, submarine and underwater service memorabilia, or WWII naval militaria.

Condition: Original period condition with age, wear and edge fraying as photographed. Sold exactly as shown.
