Offered here is a scarce authentic Third Reich-era real photo postcard showing the beautifully decorated Thermalbäder (Thermal Baths) at Kurort Vöslau, Niederdonau (Lower Austria). The scene captures the spa complex adorned with numerous contemporary banners and decorations, making this an impressive and highly detailed period view. Published by P. Ledermann, Vienna, card number 35252.
The postcard is postally used with a clear Schwanenstadt 26.VI.1940 cancel and bears a 6 Pfennig Hindenburg issue stamp. The reverse contains a handwritten message and address.
Translation of the reverse (approximate):
“Warm greetings from the beautiful spa resort. We are enjoying ourselves very much here and the weather has been wonderful. Hopefully everything is well at home. Many greetings and best wishes…”
(Handwriting is difficult in places, but the overall message is a friendly vacation greeting.)
