Outstanding and exceptionally scarce original WWII-era German HJ/DJ Fahrtenmesser or Hitler Youth knife manufactured by the rare Hartkopf & Co., Solingen maker. This is a particularly desirable collector set because the knife is accompanied by its matching Hartkopf & Co. issue/storage bag, complete with printed maker information and the original-style HJ-DJ-Fahrtenmesser / Reichszeugmeisterei approval label numbered 58300.

The knife is in exceptional overall condition and displays extremely well. It features the classic black checkered grip plates with inset enameled HJ diamond emblem. The emblem retains excellent color and has the characteristic slight movement or “wiggle” commonly encountered on period-mounted examples. The grips appear excellent with no cracks, chips, or damage.

The blade retains the desirable etched motto “Blut und Ehre!” (“Blood and Honor!”) and is clearly marked HARTKOPF & Co. SOLINGEN with the distinctive Hartkopf twin-head trademark.
