WW2 German Wehrmacht Steel Helmet Soldiers Pioneers Military Song Card Postcard

Original WWII German military song postcard titled “Wir sind die Pioniere” (“We Are the Engineers/Pioneers”).

The photograph shows German Pioniere / combat engineers during a river-crossing or bridging operation, with three helmeted soldiers in the foreground and a loaded pontoon or ferry carrying a military vehicle and personnel across the water.

The printed song is credited in both words and melody to Pionier Georg Dauborn and concerns the Brückenbaubataillon, or bridge-construction battalion. The song is documented from the wartime period and dates to approximately 1940.

Excellent subject matter for a collector of German engineer troops, bridging units, military transportation, or wartime song and propaganda postcards.

Original period item, not a modern reproduction.

Condition is as shown with normal age/storage wear, including some edge and corner wear. Please examine photos carefully.
