WW2 Nazi German 1939 NSV Volkswohlfahrt Gas Mask Receipt Certificate

1939 German Leistungsbescheinigung (Service/Receipt Certificate) issued by the Hauptamt für Volkswohlfahrt (National Welfare Office) during the opening months of World War II.
Dated 10 October 1939, this attractive and historically significant document bears a large national eagle design at center, serial number 130519, and is marked Serie C. The certificate relates to the distribution and reimbursement program for civilian gas masks administered through the NSDAP welfare organization. This is an older copy.
The text states that upon surrender of this certificate to the appropriate local NSDAP welfare office, the holder would receive reimbursement for the purchase price of a gas mask. The reverse features a map of Germany and a wartime patriotic quotation concerning the struggle and endurance of the German people during the war.
