WWI German 1916 Feldpost Bahnhof Railways Train Austria Military Censor Postcard

Original World War I Feldpost postcard dated June 14, 1916, mailed from Brünn (Brno) during the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

The front depicts the impressive Brünn Bahnhof railway station and bears a large purple organizational handstamp:

“Reichsorganisation der Hausfrauen Österreichs – Ortsgruppe Brünn”

Translation: “Reich Organization of Housewives of Austria – Brünn Local Group.”

The reverse is especially interesting and features several original WWI military postal markings, including:

“MILITÄR-ZENSUR BRÜNN – ÜBERPRÜFT”
Military Censorship Brünn – Inspected

It also bears a “K.u.k. Bahnhofkommando in Brünn” marking, referring to the Imperial and Royal Railway Station Command in Brünn, an Austro-Hungarian military organization.

The card is marked Feldpost and addressed to Herrn Hans Krohn in Hollen, Ostfriesland, Germany. The handwritten correspondence is dated 14.6.1916.

An excellent WWI postal-history piece with an unusual combination of Austro-Hungarian military censorship, railway command, Feldpost and civilian organizational markings.

Condition shows normal age and postal wear, including corner/edge wear, creasing and toning. Please see photos for exact condition.
