WWI Imperial German Army Soldiers w Pickelhaube Spike Helmets Rifles Group Photo Postcard

Original WWI Imperial German military real photo postcard showing a very large group of German soldiers posed together outdoors.

Excellent early Imperial German military image with well over 100 soldiers, the majority wearing the distinctive Pickelhaube spiked helmet. Numerous soldiers are posed with their rifles, while musicians with drums can be seen at both sides of the formation. Officers and NCOs are positioned prominently toward the front.

The photograph provides excellent detail of the soldiers’ uniforms, Pickelhauben, equipment, rifles and other period military details.

No definite regiment number is visible in the photograph, so the unit is being left unidentified rather than making an uncertain attribution.

Included is a large modern-made enlargement of the same photograph, allowing the many uniform and equipment details to be viewed much more clearly. The smaller postcard is the original period piece; the large photograph is a modern enlargement included as an extra.

Condition shows normal age, edge and handling wear as pictured. Please examine photos carefully for exact condition.
