WWI Imperial German Aviation Flight Propaganda Postcard Military Pilot War Bonds

Original WWI German aviation propaganda postcard featuring a dramatic illustration of a German military aviator standing beside his aircraft.

Across the card is the patriotic inscription:

“Und Ihr? Zeichnet Kriegsanleihe”

Translation:

“And You? Subscribe to the War Loan.”

The card was produced as part of Germany’s wartime Kriegsanleihe (War Loan) campaign, encouraging civilians to financially support the war effort by purchasing government war bonds.

The artwork is especially appealing for aviation collectors, showing the pilot wearing period flight clothing, leather flying helmet and goggles, with part of the aircraft visible behind him.

The reverse identifies the artist/publisher information as:

“Entwurf von Fritz Maison, München”
Translation: “Design by Fritz Maison, Munich.”

The postcard is unused, with no writing, postage stamp or cancellation.

An excellent original WWI piece combining German military aviation, early pilot imagery and Kriegsanleihe wartime propaganda.

Condition shows normal age-related toning, light spotting/soiling and minor edge and corner wear, including a small dark spot at one corner. Please examine all photographs carefully for exact condition. Item shown is the exact item you will receive.
