WWI Imperial German Feldpost Postcards Saint Quentin Occupied France 1915 War Military

Lot of 2 original WWI German Feldpost postcards sent from Saint-Quentin, France in 1915, while the city was under German occupation during the First World War.

Both postcards contain extensive handwritten German correspondence and military postal cancellations dated December 1915.

The two views are:

Saint-Quentin – La Collégiale — panoramic view of the historic collegiate church and surrounding city. A handwritten German notation on the front appears to read “Feldpostkarte.”

Monument commémoratif du siège de Saint-Quentin (1557) — impressive view of the monument commemorating the 1557 Siege/Battle of Saint-Quentin, showing its detailed military figures and cannon.

The reverse sides are particularly interesting, with both cards apparently written by the same German serviceman, addressed to Albert, and dated 14 December 1915. They retain clear German military Feldpost cancellations and lengthy period messages.

A very nice matched pair documenting the German presence at Saint-Quentin on the Western Front during WWI.

Condition is as shown with normal age-related toning, edge/corner wear and postal handling. Please see photos for exact condition.
