WWI Imperial German Military 119th Regiment Pickelhaube Spike Helmet Soldiers RPPC Postcard w Photo

Original WWI Imperial German military real photo postcard showing a very large formation of German soldiers posing together in uniform.

An especially impressive image with hundreds of soldiers, many wearing Pickelhaube spiked helmets. Several of the helmet covers are clearly marked “119,” identifying the men with the Württembergisches Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 119 (Grenadier-Regiment Königin Olga).

The soldiers are shown with rifles and bayonets, and a drummer is prominently positioned near the center. There is an excellent variety of uniforms and headgear throughout the group, making this a particularly detailed Imperial German military photograph.

Included with the original postcard is a large modern-made enlargement of the same photograph, which makes it much easier to examine the individual soldiers, uniforms, helmets and equipment. Only the smaller postcard is the original period piece; the large photograph is a modern enlargement and is included as an extra.

Nice original WWI image for an Imperial German, Württemberg, Pickelhaube, regiment or military photography collection.

Condition of the original postcard shows normal age and handling wear as pictured. Please examine all photos for exact condition.
