WWII German Adolf Hitler Birthday Stamp Souvenir Sheets Lot of 2 Hitler Generalgouvernement MNH

Offered here is an unusual lot of two reproduction/fantasy souvenir stamp sheets inspired by Third Reich-era German philately, propaganda imagery, and proposed or commemorative stamp designs.

Both pieces are reproductions/fantasy issues and are not original postage stamps or officially issued WWII German souvenir sheets. They are offered strictly as historical-style collector, reference, and display pieces.

Sheet 1 – Grossdeutsches Reich / Generalgouvernement – 20 April 1945

The first and most elaborate sheet features a central 6 Zł portrait stamp design of Adolf Hitler inscribed:

“Grossdeutsches Reich – Generalgouvernement”

Below the stamp appears:

“GROSSDEUTSCHES REICH
GENERALGOUVERNEMENT
20. APRIL 1945”

The sheet incorporates an ornate engraved-style border with a large German eagle and swastika emblem at the top and additional period-style decorative elements.

The Generalgouvernement (General Government) was the German-administered territory established in occupied central and southern Poland following the German and Soviet invasion of Poland in 1939. A substantial range of officially issued German occupation postage stamps was produced for this territory during WWII, including numerous Hitler definitive issues.

The date 20 April 1945, Hitler’s 56th birthday, falls extremely late in the war, only weeks before Germany’s surrender. This particular sheet should therefore be understood as a fantasy/reproduction philatelic creation rather than an officially issued General Government postal souvenir sheet.

Sheet 2 – Deutsches Reich Hitler Town Scene Fantasy Design

The second sheet features a large monochrome red/burgundy stamp-style illustration depicting Hitler in profile overlooking a German town or architectural scene, with the inscription:

“Deutsches Reich”

Beneath the principal design is an additional commemorative motif incorporating a swastika, architectural elements, dates, and German inscription, giving the sheet the appearance of a proposed or commemorative Third Reich-era philatelic design.

The sheet has visible scattered toning/foxing that gives it an aged appearance. Please refer closely to the photographs for exact condition.

As with the first piece, this is a reproduction/fantasy philatelic item and should not be confused with an officially issued German postage stamp or authentic wartime souvenir sheet.

Condition

Both sheets are in MNH-style / Mint Never Hinged condition with original-style mint gum/glue present on the reverse, as clearly visible in the photographs. They have not been hinged.

There is some age-style toning/spotting visible, particularly on the second sheet. Please inspect all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description.
