WWII German Luftwaffe Female w Dagger Helferinnen Photo Album Page – 4 Photos + Postcard

Original WWII-era German photo album page featuring four period photographs plus one postcard, with several handwritten German captions. This is an especially interesting grouping showing female Luftwaffe auxiliaries / Luftwaffenhelferinnen during wartime service.

The most striking photograph shows two uniformed women posing together outdoors. Their Luftwaffe-style uniforms and insignia are clearly visible, and one woman is wearing/carrying a dress dagger at her side, making this an unusual image.

Another photograph shows a larger group of women relaxing together outside a barracks-type building, while a separate photograph shows a woman standing with her bicycle. The handwritten caption above the bicycle photograph reads:

“Eine gute Kameradin”
Translation: “A good comrade.”

Below it she is identified as:

“Leni Hames aus Münster in Westfalen”
Translation: “Leni Hames from Münster in Westphalia.”

The page also contains a period view of Ostbevern in Westphalia, showing the village street, buildings, church steeple and a “Tabak Centrale” storefront sign. The accompanying handwritten caption reads:

“Der nächste Ort ist Ostbevern, einige Km von der Stellung entfernt.”

Translation: “The nearest town is Ostbevern, a few kilometers from the position.”

The fourth photograph shows another group of women gathered outside what appears to be their quarters or camp area.

Also mounted on the reverse is a period postcard identified as “Jungholz i. Tirol”, showing a snow-covered Alpine village and mountain landscape. It retains an additional handwritten German inscription beneath it.

A very attractive original album page that provides a personal glimpse into the daily life, friendships, surroundings and service of German female auxiliaries during WWII. The combination of uniform photographs, identified individual, handwritten captions, Ostbevern location and period postcard makes this a particularly interesting research and display piece.

Includes: 4 original photographs and 1 period postcard, all still mounted to the original album page.

Condition: Original period album page with expected age and handling wear. The page has edge wear and some small tears/losses, while the mounted photographs remain generally well preserved with strong image detail. Please see photos for exact condition.
