WWII German Panzer Tank Crew Sweethearts Photo Silver Panzer Badge

Excellent original WWII German photograph showing a group of Wehrmacht Panzer troops together with several young women, making this a particularly interesting informal “sweethearts” or social photograph.

The Panzer soldier seated at the left wears the distinctive black Panzer uniform and field cap, with the characteristic Totenkopf (death’s-head) Panzer collar tabs visible. Of particular interest, a Panzer Assault Badge can also be seen on his uniform. Based on its light appearance in the photograph, it appears to be the silver-grade Panzerkampfabzeichen, awarded to armored vehicle crews.

Additional Panzer personnel can be seen gathered behind and alongside the women, giving the photograph a much more personal and candid character than the typical formal military portrait. The combination of Panzer uniforms, Totenkopf collar insignia, combat award, and the soldiers posing socially with women makes this a desirable image.

A great original photograph for a collection focused on German Panzer troops, tank crews, armored divisions, Wehrmacht uniforms, combat badges, or wartime social history.

The photograph has period deckled edges and shows age-related surface marks, spotting and general wear as clearly visible in the images. Please examine the photographs carefully for condition.
