WWII German Wehrmacht Army Soldiers Feldpost Postcard 1941 Military Ink Stamp

Original WWII-era German military postcard, postally used in 1941, featuring a German soldier returning home on leave. He is shown in uniform carrying his gear, with a rifle slung over his shoulder.

The printed German verse on the front reads:

“Urlaubszeit — schöne Zeit?
Auch für mich ist’s jetzt so weit.
Ich werde nun bald bei Dir sein.
Erwarte mich! Auf immer Dein!”

Translation:

“Leave time — a wonderful time?
Now the time has come for me as well.
I will soon be with you.
Wait for me! Forever yours!”

The reverse is especially interesting. It is handwritten in period blue ink and bears a clear 24.11.41 (November 24, 1941) postal cancellation. It also carries a purple military/unit cachet with the German eagle and swastika. The cachet appears to read “Briefstempel” with additional unit wording around the perimeter, providing a nice piece of genuine wartime postal history.
