WWII German Wehrmacht Soldier Military Photo Postcard Lot ID’d Erich 28.Kp Infanterie Regiment 228

Original WWII lot of 4 postcard photographs, all showing the same German Wehrmacht soldier. The reverse of one photo is inscribed:

“Erich [surname unclear, appears Häuptlich/Häuptel], 28. Kompanie, Infanterie-Regiment 228”

This firmly identifies the soldier by first name, unit, and company. The surname is written in old German script and is difficult to interpret with certainty, but the unit designation is clear.

📸 Photos in this lot include:

• Multiple portraits of the same soldier in Wehrmacht uniform

• Visible breast eagle, collar tabs, and shoulder boards

• Excellent facial clarity across all photos

• Period handwriting on the reverse confirming identity and regiment
