WWII Nazi German 1939 Eagle Spange to the 1914 Iron Cross 1st Class

Offered here is a very high-quality reproduction of the WWII German 1939 Clasp to the 1914 Iron Cross 1st Class, known in German as the Wiederholungsspange 1939 zum Eisernen Kreuz 1. Klasse 1914.

The 1939 Clasp was instituted on September 1, 1939 for veterans who had previously received the 1914 Iron Cross during WWI and subsequently qualified for the corresponding grade of the Iron Cross during WWII. For the 1st Class, the clasp was worn directly above the recipient’s 1914 Iron Cross 1st Class on the left breast pocket.

This reproduction features the distinctive spread-winged German national eagle above an oak-leaf wreath, with the 1939 date tablet prominently displayed below. The bright silver-colored finish and deeply defined details give the piece an impressive appearance.

The reverse is fitted with the traditional vertical pin and catch arrangement, closely following the general configuration found on original pin-back examples. Period 1st Class Spangen were produced by numerous manufacturers and can be encountered in several construction and maker variations.

Detail is particularly strong throughout the eagle’s wings and feathers, wreath, central emblem and raised 1939 numerals. The clean silver finish makes this an excellent display example.

IMPORTANT: This is a modern high-quality reproduction and is NOT being represented or sold as an original WWII-manufactured award.

An excellent choice for a WWI/WWII Iron Cross collection, uniform display, reenactment, historical exhibit, replacement piece or militaria collection.

Please examine all photographs carefully for exact construction, finish and condition. Sold exactly as shown.
